Notification of start of activity for leasing or chartering pleasure boats

Notification of commencement of activity is required in cases of use of pleasure boats (rowing, motor or sailing craft not exceeding ten metres in length) for the purposes of

• leasing, i.e. the contract by which the lessor undertakes for consideration to assign the use of a pleasure boat or a jet ski for a fixed period of time, including daily or hourly or a fraction of an hour, to be spent for recreational and tourist purposes in marine or inland water areas, under the conditions set out in the contract
• charter, i.e. the contract whereby the charterer, in return for the agreed charter fee, undertakes to place at the disposal of one or more charterers, respectively, the recreational craft or part of it, with crew, for a fixed period of time, even daily or hourly or for a fraction of an hour, to be spent for recreational and tourist purposes in marine or inland waters, under the conditions established by the contract.

Pleasure boat leasing and chartering companies based in the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Fill in and sign the "Communication of commencement of activity" form that can be downloaded from the "Forms" section and send it to the certified e-mail address of the Civil Motor Vehicle Administration motorizzazione.civile@pec.provincia.tn.it and to the Public Mobility Service serv.mobilitapubblica@pec.provincia.tn.it.

The document will then be endorsed by the administration and forwarded to the pec address entered in the communication. This endorsed copy must be kept at the operator's premises and a plain paper copy must be kept on board the vessel.

In the event of changes (cessation of activity, use of new vessels etc. etc.), notification must be given within 15 days of the event, attaching the relevant documentation.

• Chamber of Commerce certificate;
• list of units to be used distinguished by progressive number;
• copy of the declaration of engine power, i.e. the certificate of engine use of the units to be hired or chartered;
• copy of the type approval certificate and EC Declaration of Conformity of the units to be leased or chartered;
• copy of the Certificate of Appropriateness for Hiring of the units to be chartered;
• copy of the insurance policies (comprehensive policy or individual vessel policy where applicable)
