Description
A Family District is a network made up of the social, economic, cultural and environmental forces that operate in local communities and choose to build together initiatives, services and policies geared to the welfare of families.
By joining the Family District, an organisation gains access to a platform with which new policies, new organisational and welfare models are tested. A public administration, an association, a cooperative or a company find advantage in joining because they become part of a network that shares and multiplies resources, exchanges of information and ideas. It is an opportunity to make oneself known, to realise one's objectives more efficiently and to grow thanks to the direct comparison with the experiences and good practices implemented by other realities in the area.
Since 2010, the Family Districts have spread throughout the province, expressing themselves differently in terms of method, structuring and recruitment model. On the basis of the experience gained in these years, three vocations can now be outlined more precisely
a) Territorial Family Districts are identified in a specific territory on the basis of administrative, identity, historical and economic criteria. The District steers local territorial policies by creating synergies and fostering the integration of policies. The District is established at local level through the voluntary Area Agreement governed by Article 34 of the Family Welfare Law;
b) the Family Audit Districts are envisaged by the specific Guidelines approved by the Provincial Council with resolution no. 2082 of 24 November 2016. The Family Audit District encourages the establishment, maintenance and dissemination of inter-company proximity services, in a territorial welfare context, to promote the wellbeing of the employees of all the organisations involved. The organisations adhering to the Family Audit District offer their employees and external collaborators proximity services or logistical solutions for the acquisition of services from third parties.
c)Thematic Family Districts are identified by a specific mission, area of interest, or field of activity. They are established by means of a Voluntary Objective Agreement governed by Art. 34 of the Family Welfare Act.
