MOVIR - Irrigation Volume Monitoring

By resolution of the Provincial Council no. 2093 dated 19 October 2018, the provisions concerning theobligation and methods for quantifying, by means of estimation, the volumes of water used for irrigation purposes, provided for in a decree of 31 July 2015 by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies and implemented in the Province of Trento by resolution of the Provincial Council no. 2495 dated 29 December 2016, were approved.

The resolution sets 30 November of each year as the deadline by which it will be necessary for each first-degree Consortium involved in the use of public waters (which therefore holds a concession directly as holder or indirectly through a second-degree Consortium) to enter the data required by the resolution into the online system. Subsequently, the compilation obligation was extended to second-degree consortia, limited to the details of the volumes distributed to the first-degree consortia concerned.

The same resolution also establishes that failure to transmit the data shall entail the application of the sanctions provided for in Article 51 of the "Regulation for the simplification and regulation of procedures concerning derivations and utilisation of public water" issued by Decree of the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento no. 22-129/Leg. of 23 June 2008, in particular point 12 of Table B.

Penalties are imposed on users who do not complete the form in time.

First-degree irrigation consortia involved in the use of public water (which therefore hold a concession directly as holder or indirectly through a second-degree consortium) and second-degree consortia.

The system provides access to an online system for obligated consortia through credentials (user and password) that are provided by APRIE by request to aprie@pec.provincia.tn.it.
