Description
Commercial forestry operations on the forests of public bodies may only be carried out in the presence, on the work site, of at least one operator with a technical qualification licence, or other qualification for which the Forestry Service has issued a declaration of equivalence to the provincial licence.
To obtain the licence it is necessary to attend special courses and pass a final technical-practical exam. The licence lasts ten years from the date of issue; on expiry it must be renewed after attending a refresher course.
Restrictions
CONSTRAINTS:
- Completion of a course of appropriate duration and content and passing of a theoretical and practical exam, at the Province of Trento (APROFOD) or in another Italian or European region, in order to obtain a woodcutter's licence
- Knowledge of the Italian language at least at level A2 of the CEFR, in order to obtain an equivalence certificate, in the case of foreign forestry operators;
- Completion of a refresher course to obtain a renewal of a woodcutter's licence
