Laboratory tests on hardened concrete

  • Active

Laboratory-certified tests on hardened concrete specimens (cubes or cores) valid for the purpose of site acceptance procedures or to assess the condition of an existing structure.

Description

Laboratory tests are standardised tests on concrete specimens to determine a specific material characteristic.

The following tests are available

- compressive strength (UNI EN 12390-3);

- density mass (UNI EN 12390-7);

- flexural strength (UNI EN 12390-5);

- indirect tensile strength (UNI EN 12390-6);

- static secant elastic modulus in compression (UNI 6556);

- depth of carbonation (UNI 9944);

- frost-thaw resistance (UNI CEN/TS 12390-9).

The test specimen can be stored in a climatic chamber until it has reached the curing point envisaged for the test. If necessary, the test specimen will be subjected to face grinding.

Restrictions

In order to obtain a valid certificate pursuant to Law 1086/71, it is necessary to state the date of the casting and the number of the sampling report, as well as to sign the request with the signature of the construction manager.

Who it's for

Professionals in the construction sector working as project managers for structural works on public and private construction sites.

What to do

Fill out the forms "General Request" and "Annex 1_Tests on Hardened Concrete" and hand them in at the acceptance of the Material Testing Laboratory together with the specimens to be tested.

Special cases

The service can also be accessed by parties other than the works manager, such as clients and companies. In this case, if the application is not signed by the construction manager, a valid certificate under Law 1086/71 will not be obtained, but only a test report with the test result.

Timeframes and deadlines

The certificate is issued in digital format and is sent to the construction manager by certified electronic mail (PEC).
