Laboratory-certified tests on masonry elements valid for the purpose of site acceptance procedures or to assess the condition of an existing structure.

Description

Laboratory tests are standardised tests on masonry elements that serve to determine a specific material characteristic.

The following tests are available

- compressive strength in the direction of the holes (UNI 9730-3 or UNI 772-1);

- compressive strength in the direction of the holes (UNI 9730-3 or UNI 772-1);

- flexural tensile strength (UNI 9730-3 or UNI 772-1);

- elastic modulus of bricks for floors (UNI 9730-3);

- percentage of perforation (UNI 9730-3);

- Determination of linear thermal expansion (UNI 9730-3);

- Punching resistance (UNI 9730-3).

If necessary, the test specimen will be prepared prior to testing.

Who it's for

Technicians in charge of structural works.

The test may also be requested by companies or citizens (in which case no certificate but a test report will be issued).

What to do

Fill in the "General Request" and "Annex 3_Brick Tests" forms and hand them in at the acceptance desk of the Material Testing Laboratory together with the test specimens to be tested.

Timeframes and deadlines

The certificate is issued in digital format and is sent to the construction manager or the applicant by certified electronic mail (PEC).
