Income support for dismissed agricultural workers - Int. 3.6.

  • Active

Income support granted to dismissed agricultural workers. Intervention 3.6.B of the Employment Policy Interventions Document of the PAT Employment Agency.

Description

This is a provincial economic support in favour of agricultural workers who have been dismissed from an employment relationship of indefinite duration for justified objective reasons related to the reduction, transformation or cessation of activity or work and who meet the minimum requirements to benefit from the ordinary agricultural unemployment treatment paid by INPS. In the same way as dismissal for justified objective reasons, resignation for just cause due to non-payment or delayed payment of wages and consensual termination of the relationship at the end of the mandatory conciliation procedure provided for by paragraph 40, Article 1 of Law 92/2012 are considered.
The support for agricultural workers is in addition to the state support provided by INPS.

The amount of support and cumulability

The support is equal to 850 euro gross per month and is proportional to the hours of the employment relationship terminated.

The support can be cumulated, up to the amount, with the ordinary invalidity allowance possibly received.
It cannot be cumulated with other interventions provided for by the regional legislation in force on social security matters, with the exception of the regional allowance to the family unit and cannot be paid after the payment of early or old age pension.

Restrictions

Suspension and forfeiture

If, during the period in which the support is received, the agricultural worker re-employs himself with a subordinate employment relationship, even intermittent, of a duration equal to or less than 6 months (i.e. compatible with the suspension of the state of unemployment), the support is suspended and will resume being paid, for the residual amount due, at the end of the subordinate employment relationship.

In case of employment resulting in the loss of unemployment status, the worker loses the right to income support.

The worker also forfeits the right to income support in the event of the occurrence of further causes of forfeiture of unemployment status provided for by national and provincial regulations on employment and start-up.

Who it's for

Persons dismissed from an employment relationship of indefinite duration for justified objective reasons related to the reduction, transformation or termination of activity or employment, or who resigned due to non-payment or delayed payment of wages, who also meet the following requirements, are entitled to income support

  • residence and domicile in the province of Trento at the time of dismissal
  • registered as unemployed
  • possession of the minimum requirements to benefit from ordinary agricultural unemployment treatment
  • signing of the personalised service pact at the relevant Employment Centre.

What to do

Access to income support is based on an application, which can be downloaded from the "What is needed - Forms" section below, to be submitted no later than 60 days after dismissal to the Employment Centre of reference in the territory, to which the worker must go with

  • identity document
  • tax code
  • letter of dismissal/dismissal
  • and, if a non-EU citizen, a residence permit

A dedicated operator of the Employment Centre will ascertain or confirm (if the worker has already registered through the Agency or INPS on-line services) the worker's unemployment status and will illustrate to him/her the services that Agenzia del Lavoro offers to unemployed people to help them find a new job, agreeing with him/her the most suitable ones for his/her specific case.

What has been agreed will be contained in a document called the Personalised Service Pact, which the worker will have to sign.

The payment is made monthly during the following month to which it refers, for periods of accrued unemployment exceeding 10 days.

Timeframes and deadlines

Income support for agricultural workers is payable from the day after dismissal and has a duration of four months.
