Grants to mountain hut operators for water supply

Grants are awarded for the year 2026 to operators of alpine huts thatcannot be reached by land using motorised vehicles or cable car services, in order to ensure safety and to guarantee the minimum compulsory seasonal opening period from 20 June to 20 September.

In the event of confirmed water shortages, the grant may be applied for to cover the costs of helicopter transport for water supplies during the period from 20 June 2026 to 10 October 2026.

Applications may be submitted by operators of mountain huts that cannot be reached by land using motorised vehicles or cable cars.

Applications for funding must besubmittedby31 October 2026 to theTourism Department using the appropriate form, which should be sent to the certified email address serv.turismo@pec.provincia.tn.it.

The following documents must be attached to the application:

• invoices for transport carried out by helicopter and documentation confirming payment has been made. Payment of the expenses must be made by bank or postal transfer, clearly stating the payee, the number and the date of the expense document;
• documentation proving that the transport took place (e.g. technical logbook, flight reports, photographic or video evidence showing the date and time of the flight, transport request communications clearly stating the purpose of the flight, press articles, etc.);
• documentation confirming the water shortage in the existing water supply system serving the mountain hut (e.g. photographic evidence, authorisation for water supply issued by the local council, invoice for non-routine water supply, etc.).

The deadline for submitting applications is 31 October 2026

Should the application for the grant be approved, the operator will also be notified once the grant has been paid out.
