How to pay the registration fee for drivers on behalf of third parties.

Description

Undertakings entered in the register of road haulage contractors on 31 December must pay, by the same date, the registration fee for the following year provided for in Article 63 of Law No 298/1974.
The amount of the annual fee to be paid by the registered undertaking for the following year is established by resolution of the Central Committee of the Road Haulage Register to be published in the Official Gazette by 31 October of each year.
If the payment is not made by the deadline of 31 December, registration in the register is suspended. Suspension is ordered when, in spite of a regular warning, payment of the contribution is not made within three months of the deadline set in the fourth paragraph of Article 63 of Law No 298 of 6.6.1974; the suspension lasts until payment is made.

What to do

The payment of the fee must be made in the "Payment of Dues" section on the Central Register of Road Hauliers website(click for the link) for the amount shown there for the following year and for any unpaid previous years. The user may pay one debt position at a time.
Payment can be made in the following ways

  • online payment, carried out in an integrated manner in the payment application. The user is automatically redirected to the PagoPA web pages that allow them to choose the payment service provider (PSP) and pay in real time using the online channels offered by the chosen PSP;
  • payment after creation of the debit position (PD), which takes place in deferred mode. The user prints or displays the payment notice pdf and proceeds to pay by one of the methods presented by one of the PSPs, either through physical or virtual channels.

To make the payment, it is necessary to register in advance on the dedicated page of the road hauliers' register portal(click for the link) where it is also possible to retrieve the forgotten or lost password.

All requests for technical assistance must be sent by email to assistenza.albo@mit.gov.it, taking care to specify the registration number, registration number, a non-PEC email address and a telephone number as well as, where possible, a picture or description of the error reported by the system.

Proof of payment of the registration fee must be kept by the companies, also in order to allow any checks that may be carried out by the Central Committee and/or the competent peripheral structures.

Proof of payment of the fee need not be sent to the Motor Vehicle Office.
