Funding for digital civic education projects and paths

The Autonomous Province of Trento proposes structured paths and supports autonomous projects to be included in the educational planning of provincial and paritarian scholastic and training institutes of the Autonomous Province of Trento, aimed at students, teachers and parents and aimed at the acquisition of a widespread awareness of how to approach and use the Net, seen as an important knowledge and learning tool.

These projects/pathways are to be implemented in the course of theschool year 2021/2022 and are intended to foster the acquisition of digital civic education skills and to examine the following topics in greater depth

• Countering cyberbullying; also from a gender perspective;
• Conscious use of social networks and online safety;
• Elaboration of the school curriculum from a digital civic education perspective;
• Elaboration of Policies for the use of technologies at school (PUA, Acceptable Use of Technologies and the Net at school);
• Initiation of accompanying processes aimed at obtaining certifications to support schools in equipping themselves with a procedural system for professional intervention in the event of bullying and cyberbullying incidents.

Each individual school in Trentino may alternatively activate catalogue courses or autonomous planning:

• Cataloguecourses: 7 catalogue courses financed up to a maximum of € 2,100.00 addressed compulsorily to students, teachers and parents, realising no. 1 course addressed to parents, no. 1 course addressed to teachers and no. 5 courses addressed to students.
• Autonomous planning: Institutes and schools that will carry out autonomous planning must activate 7 projects financed for a maximum of € 2,100.00, aimed compulsorily at students, teachers and parents, carrying out 1 project aimed at parents, 1 project aimed at teachers and 5 projects aimed at students.

The schools that will carry out autonomous planning will be able to benefit from additional funding of € 1,000.00, granted to the first 10 projects in the ranking list.

In addition to this project, schools can activate a certification pathway to keep an anti-bullying policy constantly active and monitored, for which a specific funding of euro 3,000, equal to 80% of the total cost, is earmarked for the first 7 schools to submit an application.

Funding of EUR 1,000 is also foreseen for the renewal of the certification already obtained, for 4 schools.

Applications must be submitted between 13 December 2021 and 17 January 2022; transmission of the application via interoperability P.I.Tre. (for provincial scholastic and training institutions) or by pec (for paritarian scholastic and training institutions) must be made no later than 12 noon on 17 January 2022.

The eligibility of applications, submitted by individual schools or school networks, is subject to the presence of pathways/projects aimed at students, teachers and parents. The absence of any of the three will result in exclusion from the call for applications.

The projects/pathways must be implemented in the period between January 2022 and 14 October 2022.

In the case of the certification for preventing and combating bullying, the process can be completed by the end of December 2022.

Provincial and parish educational and training institutions of the Autonomous Province of Trento (comprehensive schools and two-year secondary schools) may apply for the activation of the courses/projects.

Applications must be submitted using the forms provided, which can be downloaded from this page; the forms must be filled in and signed by the school manager.

The provincial scholastic and training institutions will send the application via P.I.Tre. interoperability to the Cultural Activities and Production Service (Body code PAT/ 00337460224 structure code S022).

Paritarian scholastic and training institutions will send the application form by pec to serv.attcult@pec.provincia.tn.it.

The scholastic and training institutes interested may apply for activation either individually or in a network, a network that must be composed of at least 3 scholastic institutes. The school and territorial network will have to activate common initiatives of comparison, sharing and documentation to be published on the website of each Institute, both to promote common growth and to activate collaboration with other realities (associations, area Youth Plan, youth centres, libraries of the Trentino Library System, family districts, local authorities, etc.) and to favour the spill-over effect of the interventions carried out in the territory. Each network of schools must identify a Lead School Institute.

In the event that the institutes and schools form a network, each institute or school retains the right to the funding of a total of €2,100.00.

For institutions submitting a stand-alone project:

The applications submitted by the schools will be assessed by the Cultural Activities and Production Service - Trentino Library System Office - Digital Citizenship Area and by the Steering Committee, which will draw up a ranking list assigning points following the order of the criteria set out in the text of the call for applications. A maximum number of 70 schools will be admitted.

The acceptance of applications from at least one school for each territorial area of reference of the Comunità di Valle, in addition to the municipalities of Trento and Rovereto, will be guaranteed.

At the end of the activities carried out or of the certification pathway, the schools will have to present accounts in order to obtain the contribution. The deadline for submitting the report is strictly 15 November 2022 for reporting on project activities and 31 December 2022 for reporting on the certification pathway.
