Exceptional Transports

The Exceptional Transport Portal is the single point of contact between the Exceptional Transport Sector and citizens, companies and bodies for the management of

• issue of authorisations for the circulation of vehicles and transports in exceptional conditions (art. 10, par. 6, of the C.d.S.) as well as, exceptional agricultural and operating machines (art. 104, par. 8 and art. 114, par. 3, of the C.d.S.)
• control of attachments in accordance with the rules of the Highway Code or the Enforcement Regulations
• verification of the practicability of the route
• requesting the opinion of the external sectors or the bridges sector and the municipalities if they have jurisdiction

• Road wear and tear charges are determined according to national tables, if due.
• The number of revenue stamps may vary depending on the type of application.

Transport companies, vehicle agencies, both private and public users

Within the portal, the applicant's personal details must be filled in and finally an associated user must be applied for by creating their own passwords. Once registered, the application can be entered by filling in all fields according to the type of transport requested and attaching all necessary documents. The payment of the road wear and tear, if due, and the mandatory revenue stamp (or more if required) can be paid within the portal via PagoPa. • proxy from the company (if the request is made through an agency)
• other documentation depending on the type of request

In the event of discrepancies, the office in charge sends the file back for integration, explaining the reasons, otherwise the authorisation will be issued with special prescriptions depending on the type of request or denied. The entire bureaucratic process takes place within the exceptional transport portal.
