Description

If you are a young person under the age of 40, a young couple (both under the age of 40) or a large family (with at least three dependent children living together) who has purchased (or who has signed a preliminary purchase contract), as from 1 July 2024, your first home to be renovated located in the province at a price, inclusive of taxes, of at least EUR 30,000, including appurtenances, you can apply for a contribution by submitting an application from 6 November 2024 to 31 August 2025.

The contribution you can receive is

  • euro 20,000 in case of purchase by a young person
  • euro 25,000 in case of purchase by a young couple
  • euro 30,000 in the case of purchase by one or both parents of a large family

The grant is increased by €10,000 in the event that the household receiving the first home includes at least one person with an ascertained degree of disability equal to or greater than 75 per cent, provided that he/she is the applicant, the applicant's spouse, a civil partner with the applicant, a de facto cohabitee with the applicant and/or their respective children.

The first dwelling must belong to one of the cadastral categories between A/2 and A/7 and the appurtenances must belong to cadastral categories C/2, C/6, C/7. Appurtenances must be indicated on the application only if they are purchased at the same time as the first dwelling house for the service of which they are permanently used.

The first dwelling house must also meet at least one of the following conditions

  • it must be part of a building constructed at least 20 years ago and must not have been the subject of restoration, renovation or building renovation work in the last ten years
  • be part of a building that has been constructed for at least 20 years and be in energy class D or lower
  • be subject to the energy recovery and/or upgrading works listed in Annex A to the Call for Proposals, for an expenditure of at least Euro 20,000.00. Expenditure must be incurred from the date of the sale contract or preliminary sale contract or, in the case of purchase following a judicial sale, of the decree of transfer by the court, and within 24 months from the date of the measure granting the contribution.

If you are the owner of a share of a housing unit, you may purchase the remaining share.
The purchase, in whole or in quotas, of the first dwelling unit by a spouse, civil partner or de facto cohabitee, even if not cohabiting, by relatives and relatives-in-law up to the first degree and by sole proprietorships or companies related to them is not eligible for the grant.
