Description
For the construction, alteration and development of downhill and cross-country ski runs, hiking trails, toboggan runs and related ancillary works, such as snow-making lines, including snow generators, intake works, pump rooms and cooling towers, underground basins and tubs for storing water for snow-making, snow groomer shelters windbreaks and protection systems for the safety of skiers, bridges and works for overpassing and underpassing roads or watercourses, moving walkways for transporting skiers, ski waxing facilities, ski equipment storage areas, lighting installations, fixed timing installations, cross-country skiing centres, an application must be submitted.
If the extent of the interventions for the construction or modification of the ski runs exceeds the dimensional limits identified by the resolution of the Provincial Council no. 67 dated 24 January 2020, an application for preliminary approval must be submitted; otherwise the application must be presented to the Coordination Commission.
If the interventions fall, even only partially, within the protected areas belonging to the Natura 2000 network (ZSC - ZPS) as per Provincial Law no. 11 of 23 May 2007, the positive outcome of the impact assessment procedure as per Presidential Decree no. 50-157/Leg. of 3 November 2008 must be acquired in advance and attached to the application for authorisation. The start of the procedure must be requested to the Sustainable Development and Protected Areas Service.
In the event that the interventions exceed the size thresholds set forth in Annex IV, part two of Legislative Decree no. 152 of 3 April 2006 "Environmental Regulations", they must be submitted to the Provincial Agency for the Protection of the Environment (APPA) - environmental quality sector for an assessment of the VIA procedure.
