Description
The Centre offers a response where temporary care, protection and guardianship is needed, giving the Social Service and the Court time to assess the situation and prepare the best plan for the future of children aged 0 to 11.
Care can take place at any time, 365 days a year. In urgent situations, it also takes place during the night.
The Centre's activities are characterised by psycho-educational support, such as support and accompaniment of children in the different phases of reception, insertion, stay and discharge.
The service offered is as professionalised as possible and envisages the presence of several figures
- the educational team (educators and childminders)
- the specialist team, composed of child neuropsychiatrists, psychologists specialised in the developmental age, a psycho-pedagogical referent, a paediatrician, a social worker and a health care assistant.
Collaboration between the various professionals working at the centre is of fundamental importance in order to observe and assess the psycho-physical state of the children, define an individual educational project and prepare targeted psychological support if necessary.
Inside the Centre there are three flats, in which the children are accommodated. Each group is supervised by a specific educational team, consisting of operators (educators and childminders).
Access takes place on the recommendation of the Social Service, the Police, with or without a warrant from the Magistracy.
