Description
The aim of this call for proposals is to ensure the strengthening of programmes aimed at preventing hardship, promoting health and fostering the psychological and physical wellbeing of individuals and families across all age groups. The grants are intended to support projects that include community-based activities, relational support, and initiatives promoting social inclusion and combating poverty. The role of volunteers from third sector organisations and other non-profit bodies, including networks of associations, is fundamental to the implementation of these projects; consequently, grants are also available for the training of volunteers, the development of their skills, and for initiatives aimed at providing information, raising awareness and promoting a culture of volunteering.
Specifically, there are three categories of activities set out in Article 10 of the call for proposals:
1. Implementation of social solidarity projects.
This category of activity includes, by way of example and without limitation:
- community outreach activities;
- relational support interventions;
- initiatives promoting social inclusion and combating poverty;
- activities to accompany and support individuals and families;
- self-help programmes;

2. Implementation of projects in specific areas of interest.
This category of activities includes, by way of example and without limitation:
- the promotion of healthy lifestyles and a focus on the main determinants of health;
- active ageing;
- the promotion of sporting activities;
3. Promoting volunteering in its various forms.
This category of activities includes, by way of example and not limited to:
- training for volunteers and programmes to develop their skills;
