Call for Ethnographic Museums

The Autonomous Province of Trento, pursuant to art. 20 bis of Provincial Law no. 15 of 3 October 2007 and art. 12 of the same law, 'recognises, as entities aimed at safeguarding local traditions, ethnographic museums promoted by local authorities, associations or individual citizens, aimed at preserving and enhancing tangible and intangible elements of local culture, popular traditions and folklore, dialects, knowledge and agro-forestry and territorial management, with particular reference to forms of collective participation in the management of common goods, popular ritual, ethnocoreutical and musical heritage'. With a specific annual call for proposals, the Province intends to support, through financial contributions, the projects presented by ethnographic museums registered in the List of Ethnographic Museums of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Applications must be submitted within 30 days of the publication of the annual announcement.

Ethnographic museums registered in the relevant list, as per the determination of the Superintendence for Cultural Heritage and Activities Strategic Mission Unit No 6109 dated 10 June 2025, may apply for a grant.
In the application for a grant the legal representative of the association, local authority or private citizen, registered in the list referred to in the previous paragraph, declares that he/she has not applied for and/or obtained other grants for the same initiative on the basis of other provincial laws, as well as on the basis of Provincial Law no. 15 of 3 October 2007.

The application for assistance, in compliance with stamp duty regulations, must be submitted to the responsible structure in one of the following ways

- direct delivery to the address of the structure
- by mail, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, to the address of the responsible structure. For the purposes of admission, the date of the postmark of the accepting post office shall serve as proof of the date of admission;
- electronically to the certified electronic mailbox of the responsible structure, in compliance with the relevant technical rules.
Applications submitted after the deadline will be declared inadmissible.
The application must be accompanied by the descriptive sheet of the project for which funding is requested, with an estimate of income and expenditure, as specified in the call for proposals.
