Call for Ecomuseum Grants

Article 20 of Provincial Law no. 15 of 3 October 2007 states in paragraph 1 'The Province recognises, as an instrument of local development, the ecomuseums promoted by the local authorities that contribute to recovering, bearing witness to and enhancing the historical memory, life, culture and relations between the natural and man-made environment, which promote and implement local development projects integrated with cultural, environmental, economic, research and innovation policies';

in subsection 2 'The Province recognises ecomuseums in possession of the requirements and minimum quality standards defined by the Provincial Council, awarding each one an exclusive and original name, as well as a brand. For the recognition of the ecomuseum, the participation of the local authorities is required" and paragraph 4 bis "The Province may contribute to the funding of specific ecomuseum projects in the manner provided for by Article 12 and with programme agreements with the local authorities that have established ecomuseums". This call for proposals constitutes the channel through which ecomuseums recognised by the Province may access funding to support project initiatives.

Applications must be submitted between 24 April and 23 May 2026

Ecomuseums which, on the date of submission of the application, are recognised in accordance with Resolution of the Provincial Council no. 165 of 12 February 2016 are eligible to apply for a grant.

The Ecomuseum which is recognised as the lead organisation and coordinator of the ecomuseum network and the relationship with national networks may submit a further application for a contribution for a specific network project.

The application for assistance, in order to comply with stamp duty, may be submitted in one of the following ways

• direct delivery to the structure indicated in the contact points;
• by mail, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, to the responsible structure, Autonomous Province of Trento. For the purposes of admission, the date of the postmark of the accepting post office shall be considered the official date of posting;
• electronically to the certified mailbox serv.attcult@pec.provincia.tn.it, together with a copy of the signatory's identity document and in compliance with the relevant technical rules.

Documents to be submitted for the application for participation in the call:

• Grant application form for project initiatives carried out by Ecomuseums;
• Descriptive sheet of the initiative(s), including estimate of expenses and income;
• privacy policy
• Photocopy of the applicant's identity document (if the application is signed with a handwritten signature and sent via postal service or email).

Documents to be submitted for the request for grant advance payment:

• Application form for grant advance payment;
• Attachment 1 - Declaration for the purpose of applying the 4% withholding tax on the contribution;
• photocopy of an identity document of the applicant (if the application is signed with a handwritten signature and sent via postal service or email)

Documents to be submitted for the request for disbursement of the balance of the grant:

• Application form for disbursement of the balance of the grant;
• Annex 1 - Report describing the initiative(s) carried out;
• Annex 2 - Technical report;
• Annex 3 - Statement of income and expenditure related to the funded initiative(s);
• Annex 4 - Declaration for withholding purposes;
• Photocopy of an identity document of the applicant (only if the application is signed with a handwritten signature and sent via postal service or email)
