Description
Article 20 of Provincial Law no. 15 of 3 October 2007 states in paragraph 1 'The Province recognises, as an instrument of local development, the ecomuseums promoted by the local authorities that contribute to recovering, bearing witness to and enhancing the historical memory, life, culture and relations between the natural and man-made environment, which promote and implement local development projects integrated with cultural, environmental, economic, research and innovation policies';
in subsection 2 'The Province recognises ecomuseums in possession of the requirements and minimum quality standards defined by the Provincial Council, awarding each one an exclusive and original name, as well as a brand. For the recognition of the ecomuseum, the participation of the local authorities is required" and paragraph 4 bis "The Province may contribute to the funding of specific ecomuseum projects in the manner provided for by Article 12 and with programme agreements with the local authorities that have established ecomuseums".
