Authorisation to extract and collect minerals and fossils

The authorisations for the extraction and collection of minerals and fossils are issued for the sole purpose of collecting or study and/or educational purposes or for scientific research by the Director of the Geological Service of the Province.

The authorisations are strictly personal, must be presented from 1 January of the year in question and are only valid for thecalendar year (01 January - 31 December) in which they are issued.

The authorisations for the extraction and collection of minerals or fossils issued may not exceed the number that will be fixed from year to year by a determination of the Director of the Geological Service, based on the criteria expressed by the Provincial Council. Until this determination is approved, no authorisations may be issued.

Anyone intending to proceed with the extraction and collection of minerals and fossils

Applications for authorisation must be drawn up on legal paper (revenue stamp of Euro 16.00) and addressed to the Geological Service of the Province via Zambra, 42 - TOP CENTER TORRE B SUD - 38121 Trento or sent by means of the citizen's room available on the institutional portal of the Autonomous Province of Trento. They must contain

a) the data relating to the person requesting the authorisation

b) the purpose of the application (whether for collecting or for study and/or educational purposes or for scientific research);

A photocopy of a valid identity document must be attached to the application (if the application is delivered by post or by PEC).

Authorisations must be submitted as of 1 January of the reference year and are only valid for the calendar year in which they were issued.
