Description

Provincial Law No 5/1996 prohibits, within the provincial territories located at altitudes above 1,600 metres above sea level and within protected territories (e.g. nature parks), taking off, landing and overflying at altitudes of less than 300 metres and 500 metres above ground respectively, with the exception of cases that are strictly provided for.

This law provides that flying schools or associations based in the Province of Trento may request authorisation so that, within the scope of their activities, their accredited subjects can carry out overflights, landings and take-offs within the provincial territories at altitudes above 1,600 metres above sea level for the purpose of training and training to maintain the flying licence.

Authorisation to carry out the requested activity is granted by a determination of the General Manager for a fixed period of time and in compliance with the procedures laid down in the sectoral rules.
