The activity of non-scheduled public transport with nautical units is subject to prior authorisation, which varies according to the type of certification of the nautical unit.

Description

Non-scheduled public transport involving the use of ships is subject to quotas and requires authorisation to be requested from the Port Inspector (PAT), in accordance with Ministerial Decree of 13 December 1951.

Non-scheduled public transport involving the use of vessels is not subject to quota restrictions and requires authorisation to be requested from the territorially competent Municipality, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 21 of 15 January 1992. In this case, boat drivers must be registered on the list of boat drivers for non-scheduled public transport at the C.C.I.A. of the Province of Trento, pursuant to Article 39 ter of Provincial Law no. 16/1993.

What to do

The application for authorisation must be completed and sent in the manner indicated in the form, together with all the documentation envisaged in the application.

It must be submitted with a revenue stamp (16.00 euro) attached for the reply; if the application is transmitted by PEC mail, the revenue stamp to be attached may be affixed to the application itself and cancelled in accordance with the law.
