Description
The fishing licence is a document that permits fishing in public waters. It is valid throughout the national territory. It is provided for by the Fisheries Act (lp 60/1978) Article 12(1). There are three types of licences. Type A (for professional fishermen), Type B (for amateur fishermen, holders of civic use and divers) and Type D for foreign nationals. The licence can be issued in the province of Trento to residents in the province, or to foreign citizens (Type D) and is of unlimited duration. The licence can be applied for at any age.
The fishing licence is obtained through enrolment in a compulsory training course lasting a total of 6 hours. The licence is of unlimited duration and can be applied for on reaching the age of 14. In combination with the fishing licence, the licence enables the purchase of an annual fishing permit from the provincial fishing associations. The licence also allows minors under 16 years of age with a licence to accompany them fishing and is valid in the province.
