For over sixty years, the UNESCO CLUBS, from the English acronym UNITED NATIONS EDUCATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CULTURAL ORGANISATION, have been the privileged interpreters, on the ground, of the ideals of action of UNESCO World, whose aims and operational commitment they share.
They are associations to which young people and adults, belonging to all fields of study, work and professional specialisation, adhere. They share UNESCO's ideals of action, seeking to realise them through concrete initiatives inspired by the concept expressed in UNESCO's Constitutive Act: "Since wars originate in the spirit of men, it is in the spirit of men that the defences of peace must be raised".
In a world in which cooperation between individuals and peoples is becoming more and more essential, UNESCO Centres and Clubs aim to offer everyone the opportunity to get to know different peoples and civilisations.
The UNESCO CLUB of Trento was born in an area that has been proclaimed a World Heritage Site and wants to be, according to the constituent principles of its own statute and the statute of the Italian Federation of UNESCO Clubs, an organisation dedicated to spreading strong messages with a high educational and cultural content, especially among young people.
