Mission 4 - Component 2 - Investment 1.1 - Research projects of major national interest (PRIN)

The aim is to fund research projects of major national interest (PRIN). The projects have a duration of at least two years and require the collaboration of research units belonging to universities and research organisations. The funded projects are selected by the MUR on the basis of the quality of the scientific profile of those responsible, as well as the originality, methodological appropriateness, impact and feasibility of the research project. This type of activity should stimulate the development of researcher-driven initiatives towards frontier research and a stronger interaction between universities and research institutions.
