Description
In Trentino, the activity of natural gas distribution has been, and still is, carried out by a number of managers on the basis of entrustment regimes established by each of the 101 municipalities that established the public service. These assignments have almost all expired ope legis but the service, according to the law, continues to be carried out in such a way as to avoid discontinuity in management.
As a result of various aggregations between operators over the past few years, from 1 January 2024, the activity will be carried out by the following distributors:

- ALTO GARDA SERVIZI S.p.A. - Registered office at via Ardaro, 27 - 38066 RIVA DEL GARDA (TN) - Trento Companies Register, Tax Code and VAT no.: 01581060223. - www.altogardaservizi.com. It manages the gas distribution service in the municipalities of ARCO, DRO, RIVA DEL GARDA, TENNO (TN)
- GIUDICARIE GAS S.p.A. Registered office in via Stenico, 11 - 38079 TIONE DI TRENTO (TN) - Trento Company Register, Tax Code and VAT no. 01722590229 - www.giudicariegas.it. It manages the gas distribution service in the municipalities of: BONDONE, BORGO CHIESE, BORGO LARES, PIEVE DI BONO-PREZZO, SELLA GIUDICARIE, TIONE DI TRENTO and TREVILLE (TN).
- ITALGAS RETI S.p.A., a single-member company, registered office at Largo Regio Parco, 11 - 10153 TORINO - Turin Company Register, Tax Code and VAT no. 00489490011 - Company subject to the management and coordination of Italgas S.p.A. - Company belonging to the "Italgas VAT Group"- www.italgas.it. It manages the gas distribution service in the municipalities of STORO (TN), BAGOLINO (BS)
- NOVARETI S.p.A. a single shareholder. Registered office in via Manzoni, 24 - 38078 ROVERETO (TN) - Trento Company Register, Tax Code 01405600220. Subject to coordination and control by Dolomiti Energia Holding S.p.A. - www.novareti.eu. The company also undertook the commitment to build the distribution network and start up the service in the municipalities of CANAZEI and CAVALESE (frz. Masi only).
At the end of the public selection procedure launched on 27.12.2023, the public natural gas distribution service in the territory of the municipalities of theprovincial area will be entrusted to a single operator. This operator will take over from the five outgoing concessionaires in the management of the existing gas distribution plants (municipalities already methanised as indicated above) and will extend the service to some of the municipalities concerned, which currently do not have it, building new plants for this purpose according to its own project proposal. The new concession will have a duration of 12 years.
