Description
The energy certification of buildings in the Province of Trento was introduced by Provincial Law no. 1 of 4 March 2008 (Provincial Planning Law) and regulated by special Regulations approved by the Decree of the President of the Province of 13 July 2009, no.11-13/Leg .
Implementing Community and national legislation on the subject, the Provincial Regulations define the minimum energy performance requirements for new buildings and for existing buildings subject to certain renovation works, and identify the criteria for issuing the Energy Performance Certificate - APE. As provided for in the Regulation, the purely operational aspects for issuing the certificates were regulated by subsequent resolutions of the Provincial Council.
The Regulation provides that the APE must be issued by professionals registered in special lists held by Accreditation Bodies. The list of energy certifiers qualified to issue APE in the province of Trento is managed by Odatech

Over the years, the provincial regulations have been subject to various updates and additions in order to adapt to the changes introduced upstream by the new European directives and national implementing decrees.
