Data and interoperability

The digital transformation of the PA aims to change the architecture and methods of interconnection between the administrations' databases by achieving full interoperability so that access to services is transversally and universally based on the 'once only' principle. In this way, information on citizens is available to administrations 'once and for all' in an immediate, simple and effective manner, alleviating the time and costs associated with requests for information that are today fragmented among multiple entities.

Description

Applying interoperability standards between public administration databases increases the reuse value of all information that derives from public administration processes and facilitates and accelerates the dialogue between different databases on the basis of the "once only" principle, in compliance with the European Single Digital Gateway regulation.

Through the realisation of a provincial data platform based on the Master Data Management paradigm, it is also intended to create the basis foranalytics layers , the analysis of PA data, to guide the choices of the public administration and for the experimentation of innovative solutions related to the internet of things and artificial intelligence.
All of this will be aligned with the Digital National Data Platform (PDND), which will, among other things, make it possible to consolidate and certify at the local level the master data in provincial databases derived from data from internal information systems, returning up-to-date and quality data.

The open provision of data starting from high-value data is intended to enable growth, efficiency and knowledge and to ensure the dissemination of practices for the valorisation of public information assets governed at institutional, legislative, organisational and technological level and aligned with European and national data strategies.

Projects

Master Data Management of the Autonomous Province of Trento

Setting up a provincial data platform according to the Master Data Management (MDM) paradigm, a methodology aimed at rationalising information systems, creating a single master data layer to guarantee a non-redundant and high quality database on which to graft the different verticals.
