Description
Pandemics, a constant in human history, have transformed the societies in which they appeared and have changed or decisively influenced the course of history from the late Middle Ages to the present day. Starting with a reconstruction of the main plagues that struck the peninsula over the centuries and the ways in which states reacted, we seek to understand the social, economic and demographic effects of pandemics, highlighting their impact on inequalities.
