If your old Health Card/CPS is active, you can renew activation on the new card without having to go to the counter.

The activation renewal service is only available when the old card is about to expire and must be performed before the expiry date.
In addition, if the expiring card was activated when the holder was a minor and has since come of age, activation of the new card must be done by going to the counter.

To access the activation renewal service, you must use Internet Explorer 11 or Edge browser.

These are the steps to take

• go to the citizen's area of the website sitemats 
• insert the old active expiring Health Card/CPS in the reader
• click on "Register CNS" and follow the instructions: at the end of the process, the system will notify you that the old card is registered and therefore recognised to access the renewal service
• still with your expiring card and your PIN, go back to the citizen's area and click on the "Login with TS/CNS" item
• in the "TS/CNS Activation" box, click on the "Go to service" item
• follow the indicated procedure to activate the new card and receive the new access codes

Once the procedure is complete, you can use your new card to access services, even if your old card has not yet expired;

The use of the newly activated Health Card/CPS may require the installation of new drivers on your PC to read the card: consult the dedicated page to install the correct driver Health Card Project (finances.it). 

If you have already installed and configured your TreC App, you can continue to use it without having to reconfigure it.
