Founded in 1962, the Free University of Trento was transformed into a state university in 1982, with a statute guaranteeing powers of self-government. With more than 16,000 students, around 600 lecturers and researchers and the same number of technical and administrative staff, it proves to be a university that offers an ideal environment for study and research.
