The ESIC project aims to address the challenges that the social economy industry is currently facing by developing a sector skills strategy that addresses the social and neighbourhood economy industrial ecosystem
In particular, the project aims to
- support collaboration between higher education, vocational education and training, social economy organisations and companies from different European countries to develop strategic approaches that facilitate co-creation, scale-up and replication of social innovation;
- promote innovation, new skills, sense of initiative and entrepreneurial mindsets in Europe;
- design and deliver transnational educational and training content and methodologies for rapid adoption at regional and local level and for emerging job profiles.
Goals
The main objective is to reduce skills shortages, gaps and imbalances and to ensure an adequate quality and level of skills.
In the project, higher education, vocational education and training, social economy organisations and enterprises from different European countries collaborate to develop strategic approaches to facilitate the co-creation, scale-up and replication of social innovation
