Social Planning Committee

The tasks and composition of the Social Planning Committee are defined by Article 11 of Provincial Law No. 13 of 27 July 2007 'Social Policies in the Province of Trento'.

The Committee is responsible for

• contribute to the analysis of the state of needs and their evolution
• formulating observations and proposals on the provincial health and social-health programme as set out in Article 13 of Provincial Law 23 July 2010, no. 16 "Health protection in the Province of Trento".
• formulating proposals for the social programme
• provide assistance to the Council of Local Authorities

The Committee is appointed by the Provincial Council for the time corresponding to the provincial legislature.

The Committee is composed of:

• the Provincial Councillor responsible for social policies, as chairman;
• the General Manager of the provincial structure responsible for social policies;
• the Director of the provincial structure responsible for social policies;
• the Director of the provincial structure responsible for health planning;
• one representative of the Council of Local Self-governments
• one representative of the most representative association of public personal services companies at provincial level;
• five representatives of the third sector, of whom
  • two designated by the second-level organisations based in the Province of Trento which associate bodies authorised and accredited under this law
  • two designated by the Provincial Council for Social Policies
  • one designated by the voluntary organisations
• one representative of the most representative trade union organisations at provincial level, with expertise in social matters;
• two external experts in the field of planning and programming
• one expert in planning and programming designated by the subjects chairing the territorial tables.
