The Plan provides for improved solutions to reduce the impact of plant protection products also in non-agricultural areas frequented by the population.

In line with the contents of Directive 2009/128/EC and Legislative Decree No 150/2012, it is proposed to achieve the following general objectives associated with the use of plant protection products

• to reduce the risks and impacts of plant protection products on human health, the environment and biodiversity
• to promote the application of integrated pest management, organic farming and other alternative approaches
• protecting users of PPPs and the general public; and
• protecting consumers;
• preserving the aquatic environment and drinking water;
• conserve biodiversity and protect ecosystems.
