Description
As in past editions, this XXVth Report provides annually updated information on all the variables of the local labour market and, in this issue, the topics focus on the repercussions that the protracted recession has had on the Trentino market. However, the analysis shows how the particular local production context, the extensive use of social shock absorbers and, last but not least, the strong public intervention with the anti-recession manoeuvre meant that the crisis was felt less in Trentino than in other Italian regions, including neighbouring ones. A commitment that must be maintained - as Michele Colasanto, president of the Trento Provincial Labour Agency, argues in the preface - by calling on companies and trade union organisations 'directly and in the variously configured new forms of bilaterality' in order to bring into play 'all the available 'players' in a situation where resources are becoming increasingly scarce'.
