It is a great passion that binds Lucia Matteotti to the world of bees: a technical officer at the Agricultural Service of the Province of Trento, she is the author of several books aimed at both beekeepers and young people who are open to discovering the secrets of the ever-working bees. So in these pages too, after an introduction dedicated to the history of beekeeping in Trentino - from the 19th century to the present day - in simple but effective and rigorous language, she recounts the wonderful world of honey, from how it is created to its use in the kitchen, including a classification of the different honeys in Trentino, one for each landscape. To conclude, there is a brief overview of the other products of the beehive, such as wax, propolis, pollen and royal jelly.
