Description
The Trentino Health Plan is a strategic policy document which for the next ten years will guide provincial policies which have an impact on citizens' health. The central objective of the Plan is to improve the wellbeing of the population and to extend life lived in good health, reduce avoidable and premature mortality, decrease inequalities and place the person at the centre of a more effective, safe, sustainable and equitable social and health system. These objectives are consistent with the World Health Organisation's (WHO) European Health 2020 strategy, which provides a useful international reference framework on which to implement specific interventions at the local level.
