Description
Many fish caught in the oceans – such as herring – are minced and processed into feed used in fish farms to raise trout. These trout are then destined for human consumption or released into rivers and lakes for recreational fishing. In this case, we believe that the consumption of natural resources and the loss of energy resulting from the transformation of fish into other fish can be reduced. Therefore, as an alternative to tank material, we illustrate here the possibility of using small stocks of young marble trout grown without feed, under natural conditions, in specially cultivated nursery streams for restocking.
