In response to the ever-increasing interest in the knowledge of Trentino's agricultural environment, this publication is now in its fifth edition. Through pages of popular studies, comparative tables, topographical maps to inventory the distribution of the chestnut tree throughout the territory, recipes and also cards dedicated to the main plant diseases, the reader discovers how much the chestnut and walnut tree are part of the history of our agro-forestry system. Thanks to these cultural stimuli, we are also witnessing a revival of the aforementioned crops as well as niche products such as the 'marrone trentino' and the 'walnut of Bleggio': flavours of ancient peasant food rituals.
