The exposure to foreign languages extended to everyone starting from the early childhood services and the building of skills in German and English, with the generalisation of the CLIL (Content and language integrated learning) methodology, mark a profound change in language teaching also in order to guarantee an effective implementation of the educational offer to the new generations of young people in Trentino.

This volume presents the results of the English and German language skills survey carried out in April 2016 with the involvement of 3,000 students (out of a total of 15,000) from Vprimary, III secondary, II secondary and III Education and Vocational Training. This survey was carried out in a computer-based mode and with the Trentinolanguage Plan not yet started. The picture taken by the Trentinolanguagetesting 2016 isthe point of reference for the Pianotrentinotrilingue which aims at a substantial advancement of English and German language skills for all students in the schools of the province.
