Description
What is poetry? What can it tell us? Can poetry talk about everything? These are some of the questions that the participants in the Poetry School, organised by the Department of Culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento in collaboration with that of the Municipality of Trento, sought to answer. A School coordinated by the poet and critic Gianfranco Laureano, the fruits of which can be enjoyed in this booklet, simple in its editorial layout but truly rich and engaging in its content. Starting from the premise that poetry cannot be taught, but writing suggestions can be given, the participants - most of them already authors - have thus outlined an idea of poetry that overcomes certain common prejudices, that becomes a cultural object, a creative activity that gives rise to important considerations. A poetic text thus becomes an opportunity to meet and unite, it is the discovery of a common good of culture and work, and it is finally the cue to try to give answers to the eternal dilemmas of existence.
