Description
"Books are useful to understand and to understand each other, and to create a common universe even in people who are very far apart" is the caption signed by Susanna Tamaro of this book edited by the General Pedagogical Coordination Office of the Province, which follows the previous volume Storie straniere (2007, Biblioteca della Giunta provinciale, euro 5), a series of stories brought to Italy by the voices of parents from other countries. Again, these are stories, twelve short tales from six foreign countries, collected in Trentino's kindergartens: they are Bosnia, Brazil, China, Germany, Macedonia and Poland. Tales, with their text in the original language alongside the Italian one to maintain the scent of their own identity, which are proposed here leaving intact the simplicity of oral narration, the one that parents and grandparents use with their children to help them see and understand. Stories therefore that speak of enchanted landscapes as of real places, of wizards and princesses, of good guys and bad guys as in all the world's fairy tales. The illustrations, specially created by teachers Mariateresa Bertamini, Chiara Bugnotti and Roberta Chini, add even more charm to the fantasy.
