Description
The Language Education Policy Profile is a self-analysis format proposed by the Council of Europe Strasbourg Language Policy Unit to its member countries. It is an expert-assisted self-assessment process aimed at finding out how language education policy is being implemented in a given nation, region, province or city. It is therefore not an "external evaluation": the aim is to activate a process of reflection, guided by experts appointed by the Council, by local authorities and civil society memebers on current actions and possible evolutions with reference to the topic of language policies.
The volume contains suggestions, analysis points and critical insights for the school world, first and foremost, but also for political decision-makers and representatives of educational interests in society.
