Description
A common phenomenon within the Alpine arc, and therefore also in Trentino, is the constant expansion of the forest at the expense of the open areas previously created by man to satisfy his subsistence needs. This publication, dedicated to the knowledge and characterisation of the newly-formed forests in Trentino, represents the final result of a targeted project, promoted and coordinated by the Forests and Fauna Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and is intended to provide a technical-scientific basis useful for the definition of possible forms of active management to be promoted.
