Description
In education, every work is the outcome of a journey and an opening to further paths. This working paper is no exception. The idea did not originate at a desk, but from the many meetings with the special educational needs referents of Trentino schools and from their stories intercepted during the research study 'Reading educational fragility at school in order to intervene'. The aim of the survey was to explore the Trentino school context, from primary to secondary school, including vocational education and training courses, in order to bring to light the reality of students who 'alone cannot cope'. It is a phenomenon that engages teachers a great deal, but which often remains invisible both in terms of an overall reading of reality and in terms of what is put in place to meet the needs of these students.
