Description
The present work is part of two research strands that have been overseen by IPRASE for years: assessment systems and the Italian language. The institute's approach to the assessment of Italian language skills reflects the approach that characterises all its actions: the scientific nature of the references, consistency with the system, transferability in school practice. In the last five years this approach has led, among others, to a reflection on the certification of competences, from which a number of research and experimentation paths have sprung. Through these, IPRASE has supported and implemented tools and models that therefore have strong and explicit theoretical-scientific bases, are consistent with legislative documents, and are created and shared with the school and its knowledge. The description of the levels of mastery of competences in Italian (first language) as a result of the SSPG, which is presented here, is part of these tools and models.
