Description
The urgency of the problem linked to the invasion of exotic (= allochthonous) species is now manifest and is one of the problems of greatest interest to the scientific community at the moment. The main cause of this phenomenon is recognised in the progressive increase in global trade that has taken place in recent decades; concomitant causes may be global warming and the presence of abandoned areas to a much greater extent than in the past. This publication presents 50 species of allochthonous higher plants that create or may create impacts of various kinds in Trentino.
