Provincial Coordination Committee for Occupational Health and Safety

The Coordination Committee for Occupational Health and Safety of the Autonomous Province of Trento draws up the 'Provincial Programme for Occupational Health and Safety', for the duration of the legislature, in the light of the programme documents defined at a national level and the needs and characteristics of the local context, which represents the main programming document on the subject at a provincial level.

The Committee is constituted, pursuant to Article 51 of Provincial Law 16/2010, by a resolution of the Provincial Council which, in order to allow all those involved in the matter the opportunity to make their positive contribution to the common objective of reducing occupational accidents and illnesses, may supplement its composition.

By virtue of this power over the years, the Committee's membership has been expanded and now includes numerous other actors, in addition to those provided for in the legislation.

This has meant that, given the large number of members, the Committee itself works through thematic working groups, which deal with various topics and then submit the results of their work to the Committee.

The current Provincial Coordination Committee for Occupational Health and Safety was established by resolution no. 1389 of the Provincial Council dated 23 August 2021 and subsequent determination of the General Manager of the Economic Development, Research and Labour Department, Dr Laura Pedron, (ref. 2021-D323-00099).
